Derrinstown Stud’s manager, Stephen Collins, welcomes the stud’s new recruits for the 2017 season, the grey Markaz and Awtaad.

Markaz, a dual Group winning sprinter by Dark Angel, is a full brother to the dual Group 1 winning sprinter Mecca’ Angel, whilst Awtaad, a Classic winning miler by Cape Cross, is out of a winning and Stakes placed Shamardal mare, who hails from the family of that outstanding Champion, Seattle Slew.

Markaz will stand his first season at €6,000, whilst Awtaad’s fee has been set at €15,000. They join the Group 1 sire Tamayuz (€8,000) the Group winning Danzig sprinter, Haatef (€2,000). All fees are January 1st, Special Live Foal, and breeders are welcome to view the stallions by prior appointment.
